With the release of "Animal" just around the corner, the excitement is growing more intense by the hour. The cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is on a promotional spree, discussing their film at length. Vanga, known for his niche in stories that make viewers uneasy and are violent, has now spoken about the A certificate and the box office.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga entered the Hindi film industry with "Kabir Singh," a much-dissected and debated remake of his own film "Arjun Reddy." With "Animal," he aims to make a pan-India movie and reach a wider audience. The movie, seemingly very violent, has received an A certification from the censor board, and the filmmaker is glad it did.
According to Hindu, when discussing the certification of "Animal," Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “As far as 'Animal' is concerned, I’d like to say that I am glad it got an A certificate. It is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. I will not be taking my son Arjun, my brother’s kids, or any of my cousin’s children to watch this film in the theaters. Maybe I will have another child-friendly cut of the film for them. I have children in my extended family between eight months and 17 years, and this film is not for them."
He also spoke about the box office performance of "Animal." When asked whether the movie will earn massive numbers like 800 or 1000 crore, Sandeep said he cannot predict, but he can confidently say that the film "will move, titillate, and make the audience think.”
"Animal" features an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, and more. The movie is set for release on December 1, 2023, and will clash with Vicky Kaushal’s "Sam Bahadur." Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
