Will Vikramaditya Motwane direct Sourav Ganguly’s biopic?

It has already been reported that Sourav Ganguly’s biopic is being made in Bollywood and it will be produced by Love Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The speculations around the project have been going on for the last two years. There were speculations about who would play Sourav. Several stars, including Ranbir Kapur, were among the possible choices. However, the makers decided to cast Ayushmann Khurrana in that role. Sourav also gave consent. After that, people asked who the director would be. At last, that name is finalised. 

It was heard that Aishwarya Rajinikanth, daughter of the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, would direct the film. She visited Sourav’s house last year. However, reports suggest that Vikramaditya Motwane is going to be the director. However, the producers did not make any official announcement. 

Vikramaditya stunned the audience with his debut film Udaan. He made remarkable films like Lootera and Trapped, and OTT series like Jubilee and Sacred Games. 

The shooting will start in mid-2024. Ayushmann has started his training. He is a left-handed man, like Sourav. Hence he will find it easy to portray the character, as many people think.
