Yami Gautam is still riding the wave of positive reviews she garnered for her performance in Behzad Khambata’s thriller, A Thursday, which premiered on Disney+Hotstar. The actress had also collaborated with her husband and filmmaker Aditya Dhar on the Vicky Kaushal-led film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. She recently opened up about whether or not she would be on board for another film helmed by her husband.

In a conversation with Times of India, the actress talked about the dynamic the duo had. She said that although her husband does not read any of her scripts, he is aware of them. She said that she found it fascinating to hear Aditya’s ideas and it helped her keep her mind open to different possibilities, which in turn benefitted her work. She also mentioned that the two would have ‘healthy discussions at time’.

Yami also talked about how Aditya had kept faith in her while casting her in Uri: The Surgical Strike, in a role she had not essayed before.

Regarding whether or not she would collaborate with Aditya in the future for any projects, she hasn’t written off the possibility. “You just never know! I've never said anything before my producers and directors (reveal the project). So whenever something like that happens, of course, you would know!,” she said.

The actress also spoke about the process by which she chose her scripts. She said that it was something she chose to do by herself. The most important thing for her was how the script made her feel, as well as how pivotal her role in the same was as well.
