Vijay Sethupathi's Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth, is finally gearing up for release. The movie was announced as a December 2022 release last year. However, there weren't any further updates on the film which has been lying in the cans.

Megha Akash plays the female lead in the movie which features Magizh Thirumeni, Vivek, Kaniha, Riythvika, Mohan Raja and Karu Pazhaniappan in crucial roles. It revolves around a person who suffers from an identity crisis. How he reaches Tamil Nadu and sets out to find his roots forms the crux of the story.

S Essaki Durai has bankrolled Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir which has music composed by Nivas K Prasanna and cinematography by Vetrivel Mahendran. John Abraham and K Veera Samar have handled editing and art direction respectively. K Ganesh Kumar and Miracle Michael have choreographed action portions while Kalyan and Sajna Najam have composed dance sequences.

The makers have now announced that the film will hit the screens on May 19. It will be clashing with Vijay Antony's much-awaited sequel Pichaikkaran 2 on the same day.

Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir will be Sethupathi's third outing this year after the bilingual flick Michael and Viduthalai Part 1. The former is streaming on aha Tamil while the latter dropped on Zee5 a few days ago. The actor wasn't the lead in the two films.

He played an extended cameo in Sundeep Kishan-starrer Micheal and essayed a crucial character in Soori-starrer Viduthalai. He is expected to have more releases in 2023, including his much-awaited Bollywood project Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan.
