Santhosh Narayanan's music, Dinesh B Krishnan's cinematography and Leo John Paul's editing complemented Nalan's quirky screenplay. CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment had produced the movie which attained a cult status after its release.
On its 10th anniversary yesterday, CV Kumar has come up with an announcement, leaving film enthusiasts thrilled. He has made it official that Soodhu Kavvum 2 has gone on floors and has unveiled a promo video. Surprisingly. Nalan is not at the helm of the sequel and Vijay Sethupathi isn't part of it. However, this hasn't deterred the interest among cinephiles.

It isn't sure if the sequel is a spin-off of sorts or deals with a completely different story. Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak and Yog Japee will be seen essaying key roles.
Edwin Louis Viswanath is on board to compose music for Soodhu Kavvum 2 while Karthik K Thillai will be handling cinematography. Ignatious Aswin and KK Surendaran are in charge of editing and art direction respectively. SJ Arjun will be wielding the megaphone for the project for which he has penned the story along with T Yogaraja.
