Samuthirakani’s crime thriller Yaavarum Vallavare, which was initially slated to be released on December 29, 2023, has a new release date. According to the latest update, the thriller is all set to hit the big screens on March 15. Marking the directorial debut of NA Rajendra Chakravarthy, the film also stars Bigg Boss Tamil's Riythvika in an intense avatar, promising a gritty and intriguing crime thriller.
Yaavarum Vallavare, debutant director NA Rajendra Chakravarthy's crime thriller, revolves around a murderer who is released from jail after five years of imprisonment. A gang of dreaded goons, who have been waiting to take revenge on him, is on a mission to trap him. Will he be able to escape their deadly trap? Why are the goons after him? All these questions will be answered soon, on March 15, in cinemas near you.

Samuthirakani and Yogi Babu have pivotal roles in Yaavarum Vallavare, which also stars Riythvika, Arunthathi, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Ilavarasu, Ramesh Thilak, Mayilsami, Bose Venkat, Devadarshini, Poster Nandakumar, and Cheran Raj.

The film's director, NA Rajendra Chakravarthy, disclosed the real motivation for choosing Samuthirakani to play the lead role, which was reportedly based on a true story. “The real-life person who has inspired Samuthirakani's character bears a strong resemblance to the actor, so I felt that it was the right casting,” he explained. The director also pointed out that Yogi Babu plays a comic character but that they did not design a separate comedy track. The director also added that the film’s story spans over the course of 12 hours: from 6 pm to 6 am.

The actor-director, who was last seen in the blockbuster hit superhero film HanuMan and Jayam Ravi starrer Siren, will be next seen in Indian 2 and Game Changer, both of which are helmed by director Shankar.
