Yami Gautam began filming on Sunday for her latest movie titled Lost, in Kolkata. The actress plays the role of a crime reporter in this investigative drama, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
She took to social media to announce that the project has kick-started and shared a picture of herself from the set and wrote in the caption, “The shot is set. The journey kickstarts #Lost shooting begins!” The actress had shared the poster of the film earlier this month.
Yami Gautam, who became popular after starring in the Fair & Lovely commercial series, made her television debut in 2008 and later made her Hindi debut in 2012 with the film Vicky Donor. From there, she appeared in several movies like Badlapur, Kaabil, Uri:The Surgical Strike and Bala, which made her popular among movie buffs. She received many appreciations for her performances, including the nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Her latest movie Lost, backed by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, also includes veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey in the cast. The film, which revolves around the integrity of media, will be shot at real locations across Kolkata and Purulia.
Besides Lost, Yami will be also performing in the horror-comedy film Bhoot Police, alongside Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez. She will also appear in Dasvi, which will be directed by debutant Tushar Jalota.
