More than a month after his last tweet, Rocking Star Yash broke his social media silence. Yet again, it was not an update about his much-awaited upcoming film Toxic. Instead, the KGF star took time to dwell on what he thought of Telugu superstar Prabhas’ latest, Kalki 2898 AD. The Nag Ashwin directed epic sci-fi film released in theatres on June 27 to overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Joining the long list of those who’ve fallen in love with Nag Ashwin’s vision and the stellar performances by the likes of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, among others, is Rocking Star Yash. In a long social media post, Yash was all praise to the team for creating such a visual spectacle, which, he opined, paves way for creative story-telling. He called out director Nag Ashwin and the production house, Vyjayanthi Films for their vision and courage, which, he said will inspire many to take bigger strides.

The experience of watching the primary cast, as well as the many actors who did pivotal cameos also got a mention in Yash’s post, which he ended by congratulating the team on bringing the film together and lighting up the screen.

While Prabhas fans were overjoyed with this review, back home, Yash fans reacted to the post with pretty much the same demand - a Toxic movie update. So far, Yash and the makers KVN Productions have not confirmed anything other than the title, the director and the release date. In the last six months, every morsel of information that’s come out about Toxic has been speculation or from ‘trusted sources’.

An official update has not been forthcoming, with the latest being that the team is set to take off to London for a lengthy schedule, which had fans worrying if they’d be able to meet the April 10, 2025 release deadline after all.
