Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the biggest names in the South Indian industry today. The makers of Samantha’s highly-awaited Yashoda have announced when her first glimpse from the movie will be dropped. 

The news was shared by Sridevi Movies, who are the movie’s makers. Taking to social media, the makers announced that the first glimpse will drop on May 5, at 11:07 am. In the Twitter post, the makers also wished Samantha on her birthday, as well as shared a short video, featuring the actor. 

The news was announced to coincide with the actor’s birthday, as wishes from fans and other noted names are pouring in. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal starring the actor also hit theatres today. 

Directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, who are making their debut. Yashoda is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies.

The movie was making news a few months back as well, after it was announced that the star will work under Hollywood stunt choreographer Yannick Ben. The fans’ anticipation has increased after this news, considering how the actor dealt with high intensity action sequences in the Amazon Prime Video show, The Family Man Season 2. 

While Samantha headlines the movie, it also features Unni Mukundan, the movie also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Kalpika, Divya, Priyanka Sharma, Madhurima and Shatru among other in important roles. 

Samantha has also broken into the hearts of fans across the country, after her special appearance in the song titled Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise. The Hindi version of the song has over 262 million views on YouTube.
