The action-thriller film, Yodha, is finally out on OTT, but not for all subscribers. Yes, the film starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role is currently streaming on Prime Video, but it is only available to rent. Early access is available for Rs. 349, with the film expected to reach all subscribers within a couple of weeks. Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani also play the lead roles in Yodha, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.
Plot overview of Yodha
In the film, the hijacking of an international flight presents a high-stakes challenge for a Yodha task force officer. In a desperate bid to rescue the passengers while simultaneously preserving his reputation, he finds himself entangled in a complex web of treachery and peril. Years after failing at a crucial task, the system discovers Arun on a hijacked flight under extremely strange circumstances, which takes it aback. It appears like Arun is hell-bent on getting even with the system that stole his life's possessions. Is Arun betraying his father's hopes for him to become a patriot, or is he the opposite? A thrilling, action-packed thriller takes place at 15,000 feet in the air.
Raashii Khanna discusses box office challenges for Yodha
Recently, Raashii has spoken out about Yodha's underwhelming performance at the box office. According to an interview she gave to India Today, the problem is getting people to go to the theatres when they know the same movie will be available on OTT soon.
Raashii commented on Yodha's performance at the box office, saying that maybe there's somebody who loves it, then somebody who hates it. Everyone has their own opinion, but when the movie comes out, most people should enjoy it. According to her, the biggest obstacle has been keeping them in theatres, despite the fact that everyone knows the film will be available on OTT.
The actor occasionally does it as well, but it's mainly due to the fact that she is perpetually busy. But she is aware that most people have a lot on their plates right now, so she can see how it could be difficult to lure them to the theatre. Every movie has a purpose, and all one can do is take what they can from it and go on to the next one.
The producers of Yodha are Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan, Apoorva Mehta, and Hiroo Yash Johar. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has made 34.4 crores since its release.
