Sidharth Malhotra is prepared to once again play another military role.

The actor, who captured everyone's hearts with his portrayal in Shershaah last year, will portray a soldier who battles terrorists who have seized a plane this time. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sidharth has started the Manali leg of the shoot today (September 12) after the first glimpse of the movie was shown last year.

This will be Dharma Productions' debut venture in the aerial action category. The film is said to be an action film based on a true event that happened in the 1990s. After a pandemic-related delay, the movie is expected to hit theaters in 2023.

Last year, Karan Johar presented the very first look of Yodha, which featured Sidharth as an intense person. Karan stated at the time, “After conquering the peaks, I am proud to present Sidharth Malhotra back with power in the first of the action franchise by Dharma Productions - #Yodha. Directed by the dynamic duo - Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha."

Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna will also appear in Yodha. The film will be directed by first-time directors Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre. The movie will be made by Karan through his production company Dharma Productions and Shashank Khaitan through his recently launched company Mentor Disciple Films.

Meanwhile, Sidharth and Karan have already worked together on a number of movies, including the actor’s first film Student of the Year, which also marked the debut of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

Additionally, the duo has collaborated on Shershaah, Kapoor and Sons, as well as Hasee Toh Phasee.

Regarding his work ventures, Sidharth will star alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in the film Thank God. The movie, which Indra Kumar is directing, will release on October 25. The film’s trailer has opened to positive feedback from moviegoers as well as film critics alike. He will also appear in the Shantanu Bagchi-directed film Mission Majnu, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
