Bhuvan Bam, the YouTuber who gained popularity owing to the success of his segment, BB Ki Vines where he made original caricatures, lost his parents to the deadly coronavirus on June 12, 2021. He had also made appearances in a number of popular projects and has a genuine aura which gained him a legion of fans. He had mentioned his parents on the occasion of countless interviews and even dedicated many videos to them.
Bhuvan took to Instagram, sharing pictures of his parents and penning a sorrowful note, remembering them, along with saying how he will have to learn to live again, from the very beginning. His fans along with many celebrities and other YouTubers shared their condolences and support messages on social media.
Bhuvan had contracted the virus himself in November 2020 but had recovered soon.
Not just Bhuvan, actor-comedian Mallika Dua also lost her mother, Dr. Padmavati Dua, a radiologist, after a prolonged battle with Covid-19.
Known as Chinna Dua in popular circles, her collection of elegant sarees had gained a separate legion of following. She was admitted to Gurgaon's Medanta Hospital on May 14. Dr. Mallika had also shared regular updates about her mother’s health, on her Instagram handle, hoping for a miracle, requesting her followers to keep her in their prayers.
Mallika took to Instagram to share the news and her grief on the untimely demise of her mother. She had last shared a Mother’s Day post, dedicated to her mother for her quick recovery, while she was in quarantine. Senior journalist and late Dr. Padmavati’s husband, Mr. Vinod Dua was admitted to the same hospital but was discharged on June 7, 2021.
