Zwigato trailer: Kapil Sharma brings the tireless efforts of food delivery executives to life in Nandita Das’ next

The trailer of Kapil Sharma’s upcoming film Zwigato is here. This clip sees Kapil play the role of a food delivery executive. He actually brings their tireless efforts to life through the trailer.

The Nandita Das directorial promises to bring the day-to-day struggles of delivery executives to life. Kapil is seen as one such delivery executive who cannot have the very basic work-life balance every human being deserves.

One line in the trailer, narrated by Kapil Sharma, really leaves you thinking. After seeing the slogan, “Woh majdoor hai isi liye majboor hai,” at a Union, Kapil’s character says, “Ya phir who majboor hai isi liye majdoor hai,” would makes a lot of sense to every middle-class man (and woman) out there trying to make a living. Nandita once again, beautifully, brings the undertone of the film to the surface with the trailer itself.

Right from dealing with a drunk, sub-conscious man who has ordered food to having a home where he can come back to, only to see his wife leave for her job, Kapil’s character sure has a graph of his own. The high point comes when he cancels the order. At last, this middle-class man breaks and understands the other aspect of his life which needs his focus – his home.

The movie comes out in the post-pandemic era, when people have seen the worst – right from unemployment to overwork. This character’s life hangs in between, again something that would be relatable to many. Being the ex-floor manager of a factory, he has actually had a taste of both.

Zwigato was officially selected for BIFF as well as TIFF (Busan and Toronto International Film Festival). The movie has been backed by Applause Entertainment in association with Nandita. It is the first time that Kapil would be going to TIFF with them.

Shahana Goswami plays the female lead in the movie. The release date for this film has not been confirmed yet.
