Story:

Crushed season 2 follows on from the first season, which saw high school students face one of the most difficult classes of their lives. Along with the 10th-grade board exams, this time these teenagers also need to split their focus for the interschool youth festival to win the prestigious trophy by taking part in debates, drama, dance, singing, and more.

Review:

With all the school activities, the show is mostly focused on the innocent love that these young students have and how they crush on one another. Some confess their infatuation, while some remain silent admirers.

Last season, there was a huge misunderstanding between Adhya (Aadhya Anand) and Samvidhan (Rudhraksh Jaiswal) because Adhya accidentally gave one of her poems to a senior. This led to a huge misunderstanding between Adhya and Samvidhan, also known as Sam (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), which ended in heartbreak when Sam stopped talking to her and left the school.

In the most recent sequel, Adhya feels the same way about a new student named Samarth, whose nickname is also Sam. At first, she tries to stay away from him, but his innocence and charm make her want to get closer to him. First, he becomes her friend, while she starts crushing on him later.

Apart from Adhya and her complicated love story, Zoya and Prateek (played by Anupriya Caroli and Naman Jain) are the adorable love birds in the show. At first, they had trouble understanding each other and talking to each other. Eventually, they figured out how they really felt about each other and found their way back to each other.

In the second season of Crushed, Jasmine, played by Kota Factory star Urvi Singh, has a crush on a senior who breaks her heart. However, another senior tells her he likes her, which makes her feel better.

All things considered, Crushed season 2 is a fun high school drama that is quite real as well as completely opposite of what Karan Johar's high school tales look like.

Directed by Mandar Kurundkar, the show certainly makes you nostalgic and reminds you of the stupid and fun things you did in your teenage life. Along with the pressure of getting good marks in your board exams, the aspiration of winning a trophy for your school is as real as it has been shown in this miniseries.

The show also keeps it real with the looks of these students, when everyone is not decked out and gorgeous-looking but mostly average-looking teenagers, which again feels relatable and not too much.

Verdict:

The show is certainly not extraordinary, but it is definitely a watchable and fun high school drama. Stream Crushed Season 2 on Amazon MiniTV.
