The entrepreneurial show was off to an exciting start as four women-led startups wooed investors with their pitches

Nenu Super Woman, aha's show to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among women, was off to a fine start the previous weekend, where two episodes were streamed on Friday and Saturday. In the presence of ANGELS a.k.a elite entrepreneurs Deepa Dodla, Sudhakar Reddy, Dr Sindhura Narayana, Sridhar Gadhi, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Renuka Bodla, four startups featured their products/services. Securing Rs 1.35 crore-worth deals from the ANGELS, Nenu Super Woman's participants couldn't have asked for more.
Prathima Vishwanath, Ammamma's
Prathima Vishwanath's brand Ammamma’s was born out of the idea to provide nutritious food to her athlete daughter, Maanya. It has only grown from strength to strength with time, with her food products now reaching to 1000 stores in Hyderabad (and Secunderabad) and 150 stores in Bangalore. After earning over Rs 4 crore in the fiscal year 2022-2023, she pitched for an investment of Rs 3 crore for a 6% equity stake. While Sindhura, Renuka, Sudhakar, and Rohit backed out due to their inexperience in the FMCG arena, Deepa Dodla of Dodla Dairy expressed interest in investing in her startup. Noticing her enthusiasm, Sudhakar Reddy too revisited his investment idea and they agreed to pool in Rs 50 lakhs for a 2% equity stake.
Pavani, Vapra
In her bid to ensure a cleaner India, an engineering graduate Pavani teamed up with her friends to see a country without landfills. In just under two years, Vapra used 24 lakhs kgs of waste from dumping grounds and recycled it through innovative compost pits. The startup's compost powder is aimed at both indivudal, community-level customers for their pits. While her initiative earned plaudits from the ANGELS, Renuka, Sridhar, Deepa, and Rohit backed out of investment. Taking his green initiative forward, Sudhakar and Sindhura Narayana trusted team Vapra, with the latter promising to install compost pits across Narayana Group campuses. The decided to invest Rs 25 lakhs for a 20% equity stake.
Dr Neelima, CocoTang
A dentist by qualification, Dr Neelima established CocoTang with an idea to come up with nutritious products for a health-conscious generation. She completed her MSc in nutrition to enhance the scope of her brand, with an aim to understand health and lifestyle on a deeper level. Neelima sought an investment of Rs 50 lakhs for a 5% equity stake. Though the ANGELS weren't interest to invest in the startup, Deepa Dodla promised to place CocoTang products in her center. Similarly, Sudhakar Reddy intends to use CocoTang products in Abhi Bus and bolster the brand's visibility.
Sridevi, Zithara
The biggest deal for the week was secured by Zithara, cashing in on the digital revolution with UPI. The founder Sridevi is a tech-savvy mother, a US return, who started Zithara to make the most of digital engagement via UPI payments. Her trendy idea drew praise from ANGELS, who negotiated hard with the founder, finally agreeing for a Rs 60 lakh investment for a 6% equity stake. The jury/mentors believed her brand had immense potential to go big in the coming years.
