The Dropout is a drama mini-series based on an ABC podcast, about the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her company Theranos.

Elizabeth Holmes was an entrepreneur who was convicted of criminal fraud. In 2013, she founded her company Theranos, which claimed to have revolutionized blood testing by developing methods that could use surprisingly small volumes of blood.

The Dropout is created by Elizabeth Meriwether and stars Amanda Seyfried as Holmes. The show has 8 episodes and premiered first on Hulu and on Dsiney+ Hotstar in India.
