The Canadian reality television series called Blown Away features glass-blowing competitions. Ten glassblowers are the contestants in this episode. Nick Uhas, a former Big Brother USA participant and science YouTuber, hosts the show. Katherine Gray is the head judge, an artist and associate professor at California State University, San Bernardino. A prize package totaling $60,000 is awarded to the winner, which includes an artist residency at the Corning Museum of Glass. In the 'Reality or Competition' category, the show took up the Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction. The show is written by Ron Carroll and Amy Hosking. The show returns with its 4th edition on March 5.
