Co-created by Keith Knight and Marshall Todd, the American comedy television series revolves around the character of Keith Knight, who is based on the co-creator of the same name. The black cartoonist, well-known for creating Toast & Butter, takes pride in staying neutral and shies away from taking controversial stances, until one day he is racially profiled by extremely aggressive police officers. Traumatised, Keef later discovers that he is able to see and hear inanimate objects talking to him. As he becomes more sensitive to racism, Keef makes an attempt to acknowledge and address the various microaggressions that he experiences in every situation and must figure out how to maintain his career and relationships as a ‘woke’ black man. The live-action show with animated elements has Lamorne Morris in the lead along with Blake Anderson, T. Murph, Rose McIver, Sasheer Zamata and Aimee Garcia among others.
