Not living up to everyone's expectations after a fabulous Test series against England, it was shocking to see Yashasvi Jaiswal getting out for fewer runs in the previous games. However, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter made sure to get back on track, and he found his form against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Soon after reaching his 31-ball half-century, Jaiswal raised his bat and blew a kiss to the dugout, marking his first 50 of the season. Rather than adopting his usual aggressive approach right away, he spent some time today to concentrate on timing. After his half-century, he switched gears and began attacking the bowlers and fans have enjoyed the young gun's game on X (formerly known as Twitter).

As of writing this article, after the rain interruption, the game resumed without any overs lost. Jaiswal has scored 62 off 35, smashing 7 fours and 4 sixes. Rajasthan Royals have scored 110 runs and lost just 1 wicket in 11 overs, needing 70 runs in 54 balls to win the clash.

Earlier, MI won the toss and opted to bat but failed to capitalize as they scored 179 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Rohit Sharma fell in the first over while trying to be aggressive against Trent Boult, and Ishan Kishan and SKY became Sandeep Sharma's two victims.

Mohammad Nabi, who was promoted up the order, looked in good touch but was dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal, who became the first IPL player to pick 200 wickets in the process.

With MI down to 52/4, the team faced a challenging situation, but two young players, Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera, joined forces and stabilized the innings with a counterattacking partnership. They put MI in a strong position at 151/4 after 16 overs. However, after Wadhera, playing his first match of the season, fell for 49, RR regained momentum. In the last 4 overs, MI managed to score just 28 runs and lost 5 wickets.
