Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar sets turned deadly for 120 crew members. They were all hospitalized in a mass food poisoning case, according to a report on Republic. No casualty has been reported so far. The incident took place in Leh, and the crew received immediate treatment for the same. The doctors have also released statements related to the case.

Mass food poisoning on Dhurandhar sets?

120 crew members from Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar sets had to be admitted in Sajal Narbu Memorial (SNM) hospital in Leh after complaining of abdominal pain, headaches, vomitting and nausea. They suffered from a case of mass food poisoning.

According to IANS, officials confirmed the same by stating, “Over 100 workers of a Bollywood film crew were hospitalised in Leh after a suspected case of food poisoning late Sunday evening."

No casualties reported so far

Despite the alarming number of patients, no casualties were reported. A senior doctor from the hospital confirmed the same and added, “We managed the patient rush effectively. The police also stepped in to regulate the overcrowded emergency ward and prevent panic."

Dhurandhar shoot stalled?

600 crew members were a part of Dhurandhar sets in Leh. Out of them, 120 crew members are currently under medical examination. Although touted to be a case of mass food poisoning, the doctors are confirming the exact cause by examining the food samples from the sets. It is not known whether the shooting of the film is stalled at the moment or not.

About Dhurandhar

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead role. It also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles.

The storyline of the film remains unknown, but the teaser released on Ranveer Singh's birthday (July 6) hinted at the movie being a crime-drama. Dhurandhar will release in theatres on December 5.
