12th Man: Mohanlal unveils intriguing new poster of film, announces film will release on Disney+Hotstar soon

Mohanlal’s next release comes in the form of 12th Man, which sees him join hands with filmmaker Jeethu Joseph yet again. The film will have a direct-to OTT release on Disney+Hotstar, and the star recently unveiled a new poster for his upcoming release.

The new poster was unveiled by the actor on his official social media handles. The poster shows a close-up of Mohanlal with an intense look on his face. In the background, viewers can see the rest of the cast with puzzling looks on their faces, standing in front of a house with fog behind them. In the post’s caption, the actor writes that the film will arrive on Disney+Hotstar ‘soon’.

Check out the film’s new poster below:

12th Man is touted to be a mystery thriller and features an ensemble cast, which consists of Unni Mukundan, Anu Mohan, Sshivada, Priyanka Nair, G Chandunath, Leona Lishoy, Saiju Kurup, Anu Sithara, Anusree and Rahul Madhav, among others.

Jeethu Joseph has directed the film, marking the most recent collaboration between the filmmaker and Mohanlal. Mohanlal had also starred in Joseph’s hit movies, Drishyam (2015) and Drishyam 2 (2021). The latter too was a digital release, and is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The duo are currently working on another film as well, titled Ram, which also stars Indrajith Sukumaran and Trisha.

KR Krishna Kumar has penned the script of 12th Man. In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, Joseph had said that 12th Man’s story would be similar to that of Agatha Christie novels. The story takes place over the course of 24 hours, and the events involve 12 people.

The upcoming film will mark Mohanlal’s latest direct-to-OTT release after Bro Daddy, where he shared the screen with his Lucifer collaborator Prithviraj Sukumaran. Prithviraj directed both films. While Lucifer can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video, Bro Daddy can be watched on Disney+Hotstar.

Meanwhile, further details about 12th Man are awaited.
