However, on the bright side, Aadu 3 still can become the first Malayalam film in 2026 to enter Rs 100 crore, given Drishyam 3 starring Mohanlal which was slated for April 3 release, has now been postponed due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Aadu 3, however will face competition from Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film Prathichaya, due for release on March 26, and Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros on April 2.
Aadu 3, from director Midhun Manuel Thomas, is the third instalment in the franchise and traces the misadventures of Shaji Pappan and the gang.
