Abhishek Banerjee confirms Compounder's return

While speaking to a fan, Abhishek Banerjee confirmed that he is returning to the world of Mirzapur through Mirzapur: The Movie. The actor had played the role of Compounder on the show and it is revived for the movie. A source confirmed the same by stating, “It’s confirmed – Abhishek Banerjee is returning as Compounder. He was featured in the announcement teaser of the film along with the other prime cast of Mirzapur. It will be exciting for audiences to see him share the screen with Munna Bhaiya once again."

Who was Compounder and how did he fit into the story?

Compounder was Munna bhaiya's closest aide. Each time Munna Tripathi gave Compounder an order, he would perform the task of killing the person without a second thought. Through the role, Abhishek Banerjee really came up as the dark knight. Unfortunately, he met his tragic end in the series. However, with the movie, much like Divyendu's Munna Tripathi, Compounder's character will also be revived.

Bablu Bhaiya also revived, but with a twist

More recently, there were reports that Vikrant Massey's Bablu Bhaiya, killed early on, has also been revived for the movie. However, this time around, not Vikrant but Jitendra Kumar plays the role.
