The pre-release event of YS Jagan’s biopic will be held in Vijayawada later this week

Ram Gopal Varma made headlines by sharing the censor certificate of his upcoming film Vyooham, the first instalment of the two-part biopic of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The film starring Ajmal Amir, Manasa Radhakrishnan in key roles is gearing up for a release on December 29. With a 126-minute runtime, the political drama was awarded a U/A certificate.
The filmmaker, who also released the second trailer of Vyooham earlier this week, is now a happy man. Given the buzz around the film owing to its controversial trailer and promos, leading Telugu producer/distributor Dil Raj has expressed his interest in distributing the film in the Nizam region. The director confirmed the news over a social media post today.

“CONGRATS to VYOOHAM producer @dkkzoomin for roping in @dilraju.producer garu to RELEASE VYOOHAM in NIZAM on DECEMBER 29!th,” Ram Gopal Varma wrote, sharing an image where Vyooham’s producer Dasari Kiran Kumar (of Ramadhutha Creations) is offering a box of sweets to Dil Raju to express his gratitude. The latter is also releasing Guntur Kaaram, and Saindhav in Nizam area for Sankranthi.
Roping in Dil Raju could be a shot in the arm for RGV’s film, given the tight competition from several small/medium budget films that are trying to grab the eyeballs of audiences next week - Bubblegum, Devil, Sarkaaru Noukari, Currency Nagar, to name a few. While Bubblegum and Devil are expected to open well, it’ll take innovative promotional strategies from other films to convince moviegoers.
Meanwhile, the pre-release event of Vyooham will be held on December 23 at Vijayawada. The ‘Vyooham Jaga Garjana’ event is to be hosted at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Vijayawada from 4 pm. Dhanunjay Prabhune, Surabhi Prabhavati, Rekha Surekha, Vasu Inturi are also part of the film.
In other news, RGV, earlier today, had also announced a new film under RGV Den titled Saaree, directed by Aghosh Vyshnavam, which introduces Aaradhya Devi as an actress.
