After Daayra with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Prithviraj joins Tovino's Pallichattambi

A day after he announced completing Daarya with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran reportedly landed on the sets of Tovino Thomas’ Pallichattambi, which will feature him in a cameo.

Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran is busy wrapping up his projects, from Hindi to Malayalam. A day after he announced completing his latest Bollywood venture Daarya with Kareena Kapoor Khan, the Malayalam actor reportedly landed on the sets of Tovino Thomas’ Pallichattambi which will feature him in a cameo.

Prithviraj wraps up Daarya

Malayalam actor Prithviraj, who has also collaborated in Bollywood projects, announced recently that his Hindi movie Daarya has been wrapped up. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the other lead role in the film, which is helmed by noted filmmaker Meghna Gulzar. The Empuraan filmmaker also promised that Daarya is set to release in theatres in 2026. Sarzameen, with Kajol, was the last Hindi film in which Prithviraj starred.

Prithviraj in Tovino's Pallichattambi

A day after Prithviraj’s post, online trackers have said that the actor has joined Pallichattambi, which stars Tovino Thomas in the lead. Prithviraj only has three days of shoot left for his cameo role. Tovino-starrer, which has a period setting, is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony who is best known for Jana Gana Mana that had Prithviraj in the lead role of a feisty lawyer.

Popular actress Kayadu Lohar, who is best known for films such as Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, plays the female lead in Pallichattambi. Kayadu has already wrapped up her portions. Senior actors Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, TG Ravi, and Prashanth Alexander are also part of Pallichattambi.

Tovino and Prithviraj have acted together in several films in the past. Tovino played Jathin Ramdas in Prithviraj’s directorials Lucifer and Empuraan.

Prithviraj’s packed 2026 schedule

The Malayalam actor is also part of Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s ambitious project named Varanasi, which stars Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The other upcoming films of Prithviraj include INobody with Parvathy Thiruvothu and Khalifa which will feature a star cameo by none other than the veteran Mohanlal. Prithviraj was last seen in the long-delayed film Vilayath Budha , but which ended up as a failure.
