Naga Chaitanya made a solid comeback with his last film, Thandel, also featuring Sai Pallavi as the female lead. The romantic drama became his first-ever ₹100 crore film and cemented his place as a bankable hero in Telugu cinema.

As of now, he is shooting for his adventure thriller titled Vrushakarma. Directed by Karthik Varma, the film is nearing completion and has Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Meanwhile, we at OTT Play have learned that Naga Chaitanya has already signed his next project.

A source close to the team revealed to us that he has okayed a film with Bedurulanka 2021 director Clax. The source added that Clax met Naga Chaitanya a few days ago and narrated a script, which the actor loved and immediately gave the green signal.

The latest update is that the shooting of this film will go on floors in April 2026. The film will be made by a young banner and along with the makers of Kubera. Though an official confirmation is still awaited, this news has slowly gone viral in film circles.

Naga Chaitanya is signing one film at a time

Naga Chaitanya is in no hurry to sign back-to-back films and is concentrating on scripts that present him in a completely new avatar. He plays an archaeologist in his upcoming film Vrushakarma, and in the film with Clax, he will be seen in an action-packed avatar once again.

Chay is also associated with a few other interesting projects, but he has ensured there is a good gap between each film. This is the reason he is not signing multiple projects at once. 

He prefers to take one film at a time, and only after he completes Vrushakarma will he move on to the project directed by Clax. More details about this film, including the female lead, will be revealed soon.
