The latest report on Pinkvilla suggests that the Thama teaser will be attached to War 2. A source confirmed the same and told the portal, "Dinesh Vijan is in talks with exhibitors all across the country to showcase the teaser of Thama with the Hrithik Roshan and NTR-led War 2 during the Independence Day 2025 weekend. The exhibitors have agreed in principle and are excited to showcase the next tentpole film of the universe with an action-packed saga like War 2."
Like their previous strategy with Maddock Supernatural Universe films, Thama teaser is unlikely to go digital. The teaser is likely to premiere with Ayan Mukerji's War 2, which features Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. However, War 2 will not be the only movie that would run Thama teaser. Sidharth Malhotra-Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari is also likely to showcase the teaser, thus making it a theatrical exclusive teaser release.

Thama is a lot of firsts for the Maddock Supernatural Universe. It is the first time that the universe introduces a vampire. Not just that, Thama is the first in the supernatural universe that is not a horror. Director Aditya Satpodar had clarified in a previous interview with Zoom that the Diwali release starring Ayushmann, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles, is a romantic-comedy which is the first in the universe that prides itself on horror-comedy. The movie, also seeing 'Bhediya' Varun Dhawan in a cameo appearance, is scheduled for theatrical release on Diwali.
