Bad Girl, the Tamil coming-of-age drama, written and directed by debutant filmmaker Varsha Bharath, will be making its OTT debut. JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film and has announced the premiere date as November 4. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film, with Bad Girl offering multiple audio options.

Following its theatrical release on September 5, Tamil movie Bad Girl will now stream on OTT this week. You can watch the film on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium, in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The streamer is also expected to provide English subtitles for Bad Girl.

Made originally in Tamil, Bad Girl is written and directed by Varsha Bharath in her maiden directorial. She has earlier assisted Vetrimaaran who has produced the film and presented as well along with Anurag Kahsyap. Bad Girl is a bold, charming, and breezy coming of age story, with actor Anjali Sivaraman headlining the film. Bad Girl: What is it all about?

Essentially, Bad Girl follows Ramya from her high school days to early 30s, as she navigates the societal expectations, romantic endeavours, and begins to truly understand about herself and her needs. With Anjali Sivaraman leading the cast, Bad Girl also features actors Shanthi Priya, Saranya Ravichandran, Hridhu Haroon, TeeJay Arunasalam, Sashank Bommireddipalli, and others.

Amit Trivedi has scored music for Bad Girl, with the film shot by Preetha Jayaraman (ISC), Jagadeesh Ravi, and Prince Anderson. Radha Sridhar has edited the film. Bad Girl had opened to good reviews from critics, but did not fare well at the box office. Notably, it is also the last film to come out from Vetrimaaran’s production who announced that he is shutting down his banner, citing difficulties in production.
