As the elderly Bhaskara Pillai is counting his final days, his sons are by his deathbed but they also have an eye for the diamond ring in his hands. Nuanced performances by Jagadish, Prashanth Alexander, and Indrans drive this family drama film, which does make you laugh and think.

Yuddhakaanda Chapter

OTT platform: Prime Video

Ajay Rao leads this emotional courtroom drama, which is helmed by filmmaker Pavan Bhat. The Kannada film, which had a good run at the box office, depicts the ordeal of a mother, who has to fight for justice after her daughter is brutally assaulted. Archana Jois, Prakash Belawadi and TS Nagabharana play other roles in the film, which deserves your attention this week.

Kerala Crime Files Season 2

OTT platform: JioHotstar

The second season of Kerala Crime Files, helmed by Ahammed Khabeer follows the events after CPO Ambili Raju goes missing. As the cops try to unravel the mystery, they find baffling truths and a series of unsettling events that led to the disappearance of the CPO who has his own network of connections. Arjun Radhakrishnan leads the second season as the rookie SI Noble, along with Lal and Aju Varghese, who return for Season 2.

Viraatapalem - PC Meena Reporting

OTT platform: ZEE5, OTTplay Premium

Zee5 brings in a new Telugu series, which has Abhignya Vuthaluru playing the lead role. The series revolves around a female cop, who is deployed in a rural village, which has been recording the mysterious deaths of new brides that too on their wedding nights.The seven-episode cop series drops on the platforms on June 27, 2025.

Jinn The Pet

OTT platform: Sun NXT, OTTplay Premium

A musician, named Sakthi, and a box with a supernatural being is the centre of this film. When unsettling things happen at his house, he blames the entity in the mystical box. But is it so? To know more, watch the Tamil movie, which blends fantasy elements in the narrative. Bhavya Trikha, Bala Saravanan, Radha Ravi, and Vadivukkarasi are also part of the film, helmed by TR Bala.
