Bhairavam marked the comeback of Manchu Manoj, Bellamkonda Sreenivas, and Nara Rohit to Telugu cinema after a gap of five years. The action drama is an official remake of the Tamil hit Garudan, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. It ended as an average fare at the box office, collecting close to ₹17 crore net and finishing in the safe zone.

We at OTT Play were the first to reveal that ZEE5 had acquired the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. As reported, ZEE5 started streaming Bhairavam from July 18, 2025. A section of the audience skipped the film in theatres due to its excessive bloodshed and action. Now that it has landed on OTT, the makers say it will surely get a decent response.

Bhairavam tells the story of three close friends who become enemies over a land deal. Manchu Manoj played a powerful role after a long gap, and his performance was widely appreciated, more than anyone else in the film. He benefited the most from Bhairavam, especially as he was struggling with personal issues and lacked film offers. This film came at the right time for him, and he delivered a solid performance. He has now signed six new films and is back with a bang.

Bhairavam is also special as it marks the Telugu debut of star director Shankar’s daughter, Aditi Shankar. She was paired opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas, and their on-screen chemistry was a superhit. At the box office, all the romantic scenes between Aditi Shankar and Bellamkonda Srinivas stood out. As the film features popular stars, it is expected to perform well on OTT.

A special aspect is that the film will also premiere on Zee TV later today in the evening. Bhairavam also gave Nara Rohit a chance to make a comeback in Telugu cinema. He was away from films, but this project brought him back into the limelight.
