Although it has been denied that Bhooth Bangla was written for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the motion poster featuring Akshay Kumar gives major Dr. Aditya Shrivastav vibes from his 2007 film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. It's the same way he is holding a Rudraksha bracelet and showing off the divine outfit, while some devils are roaring from behind.

Was Bhooth Bangla written for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2?

Industry insiders told India Today that Bhool Bhulaiyaa continues to be a high-value property for T-Series, cautioning that any direct or indirect use of the franchise’s brand, title, or universe would invite strict legal consequences.

According to the portal, Shiv Chanana, co-producer at T-Series, addressed the rumours and stated that they have never received any script from Mr Priyadarshan or his team for creating a Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. Chanana refuted allegations that an earlier draft of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had been recycled, maintaining that both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were developed as independent stories with no narrative ties to each other or to any prior script.

“It is our franchise. If anything has to be developed, it will be developed by us and under our supervision, which is exactly how Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were made. I don’t understand where these stories are coming from, this was never the case," Chanana added.
