Things are on a steady peak inside the Bigg Boss Kannada OTT house as the first team captain of the season gets elected, amid much drama and agony! On Day #5, the contestants were put through an interesting nomination task in pursuit of picking the very captain which ultimately saw TV actor Arjun Ramesh grabbing the throne. The popular mini-screen star had to sustain a physical injury in the process and it would now be interesting to see how things unfold in the coming days.

The Mahakali and Naagini actor was picked as the captain that involved all the 16 contestants who each nominated three other contestants of their choice from the previous day's winning team. This process saw everyone state their picks and justify them with Somanna Machimada, Nandhu, Arjun Ramesh, and Chythrra Hallikeri later shortlisted as the final contenders. The final task required the four to tussle it out in a tricky physical task wherein Arjun Ramesh emerged as the winner, albeit with a dislocated shoulder! What seemed to be taking place in jest and fun soon escalated to an agonizing physical contest that saw Arjun outperform the rest by a clear margin.

In other developments, the housemates were also made to pick the best and the worst performers of the week so far, keeping the various tasks or challenges in mind. The entire lot, led by their new captain Arjun Ramesh, convened in the drawing room with each contestant naming their picks for the best and the worst: Rakesh Adiga secured the maximum votes as the Best Performer while the Dandeli girl Akshata Kuki came through adjudged as the Worst Performer of the week. 

Rakesh was awarded with a special medal for his win while Akshata spent the night away in the prison cell near the lawn area.
