Bigg Boss Tamil 9 has kickstarted on a high note, and 19 contestants have entered the new season. With Vijay Sethupathi anchoring the show once again, the much-loved reality show is streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. Some known faces, social media favourites and personalities from different background have entered the house, keeping it an interesting mix bag of competitors. On the first day, Bigg Boss house, which is styled Egyptian style, has already begun its divide and rule game. But what’s it?

During the home tour by Vijay Sethupathi around the new Bigg Boss house, audience were revealed that there is a luxurious and better part of the house. Called the super deluxe, this is reserved only for a set of housemates. It gets decided by the first choice the contestants made before entering the house.

Before each of them waved good bye for one last time for next 100 days, contestants were asked to choose between blue and red badge without telling them the reason. Once all the contestants went inside the house, Bigg Boss welcomed them. Briefing about how the luxury is destined only for a few, the super deluxe part went to blue badge owners who were outnumbered by red ones. Aurora Sinclair, Tushaar, Praveen Gandhi, Ramya Joo, Gana Vinoth, Subhiksha, Kamarutin chose the blue badge and get the super deluxe space.

Bigg Boss Tamil 9 housemates face water scarcity:

On the very first day of Bigg Boss Tamil 9, contestants face water scarcity. Housemate Kani who entered the house, was the first to notice a task letter which had instructions on each incoming housemate to make a decision to open or close a tap. Following this, towards the end of the episode, Bigg Boss revealed that there will be no water incoming to the house apart from to toilet flushes. Drinking water too is limited to the water bottles provided. Bigg Boss even appreciated Kani for her observation of the task paper and being the first one to notice it.
