The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix, with a tentative date set to be set to be next week, on November 21. An official confirmation is awaited.

However, with Dude (which also released for Diwali), now set for Netflix premiere this week, it is expected that the streamer would want to space out the digital debuts of these big titles. The buzz is that Bison will premiere on Netflix on November 21. An official announcement on the same is expected to be made by Netflix once Dude completes a few days of its OTT run.

Bison Kaalamaadan comes from director Mari Selvaraj, who is known for making films about what he saw and experienced in his life. Similarly, Bison too is inspired by the life of kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, an Arjuna awardee. The sports drama revolves around a small-town boy who wants to become a kabaddi player and represent his nation one day. Actors Anupama Parameswaran, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Ameer, Lal, and others are also part of Bison. The film has music by Nivas K Prasanna, and had opened to positive reviews, with critics highlighting Dhruv’s performance. Bison marks the first time Mari Selvaraj is working with Dhruv who had trained for the film for more than four years.
