Buffoon OTT release date: When and where to watch this Tamil thriller starring Vaibhav online

Buffoon, which hit the screens on September 23, is ready for its OTT premiere. Debutant filmmaker Ashok Veerappan has directed the movie which has Vaibhav playing the lead. He essays the role of a drama artist in the film which has Anagha playing the female lead in it.

Its story revolves around a happy-go-lucky youngster who gets mired in a criminal case in an unexpected circumstance. He comes up with various plans to save himself, but in vain. How he resorts to an extreme act to come out of all the charges against him forms the rest of the story.

Director Karthik Subbaraj has presented the movie as Ashok was the former's associate director in a few projects like Jigarthanda. Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram have bankrolled the movie under the banner of Passion Studios Production. Joju George, Naren, Munnar Ramesh, Tamizh and Aadukalam Jeyabalan essay key roles in the project.

Santhosh Narayanan has composed music for Buffoon which has cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman. Vetre Krishnan and Kumar Gangappan have handled editing and art direction respectively while M Sheriff has helmed dance choreography. Vicky Nandhagopal and Dinesh Subbarayan have jointly choreographed action scenes for the movie.

Buffoon will drop on Netflix on October 14. The director took to his social media page to inform about the movie's OTT release. The film is Vaibhav's third outing this year after playing the lead in horror-comedy flick Kaatteri and a cameo in rom-com Manmatha Leelai.  

Buffoon is Anagha's third film in Kollywood after essaying a notable debut in the sports drama Natpe Thunai and one of the leads in time travel movie Dikkiloona.
