Celebrity Cricket League 2026 on OTT: Eight teams will vie for the Rs 50L top prize that awaits the winner of Season 12 of CCL. It kickstarts on January 16, 2026

The 12th season of the Celebrity Cricket League has officially been announced, with 8 teams fighting it out for the title and a winner’s kitty of Rs 50 lakh. Contrary to earlier plans, CCL Season 12 arrives on January 16, 2026 only and winds up on February 1, the shortest tournament yet, with each team playing 3 group stage matches only as against 4 each earlier. The top 4 teams proceed to the semi-final.

Where to stream CCL 2026

There are a couple of changes this time around. The Kerala Strikers are back and the Chennai team has a new name; the Rhinos have been rechristened Chennai Kings. Apart from the schedule and fixtures, with group stage matches scheduled to be held in Madurai and Mysuru, the organizers also revealed the broadcast and streaming partners. All the matches will be available on Sony Sports 3 and on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium also).

Teams of CCL 2026

The 8 teams playing Season 12 of CCL are the Chennai Kings, Kerala Strikers, Karnataka Bulldozers, Telugu Warriors, Bhojpuri Dabbangs, Punjab De Sher, Mumbai Heroes and the Bengal Tigers. Punjab De Sher is the defending champion, having trounced the Chennai team in the final. Everyone, except the Bhojpuri Dabbangs and Kerala Strikers have won the tournament. The Telugu Warriors have taken the trophy home 4 times, followed by Chennai Kings and Karnataka Bulldozers with 2 wins each. Manoj Tiwari’s Dabbangs came tantalisingly close once, as did the Strikers. Could this be the year for one of them?

Format of CCL

Celebrity Cricket League is played as T20 matches held in Test format, with each team playing 2 innings of 10 overs each. Fans have been hoping for a change this time, preferring a full-fledged 20 over innings.
