The 2026 Malayalam film Chatha Pacha, which hit theatres on January 22, has made its OTT debut in less than a month. The film, helmed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar, started streaming on Netflix from midnight on February 19, 2026. The Malayalam film, which is inspired by WWE wrestling, is available to stream in other south languages of Tamil, Telugu and also in Hindi with English subtitles.

The film had opened to mixed reviews, but Chatha Pacha made Rs 33.43 crore in worldwide collections as per the data on Sacnilk. No other Malayalam film has been able to claim such box office figures so far this year.

What’s the story of Chatha Pacha

Chatha Pacha begins with the narrative of three childhood friends, who grew up on WWE wrestling. Years later, Little lands up in Mattanchery looking for his childhood friends and sets up an amateur wrestling club with Savio. Vetri too joins them, and everything looks good for the trio of friends and the club when a past grievance drives a wedge between them. Cherian is another youth, who is seeking to bring down the club and friendship. The colourful yet stellar action choreography and Mujeeb Majeed’s background score got a thumbs up from the viewers.

Arjun Ashokan stars as Savio, while Ishan Shoukath is Little and Roshan Mathew appears as Vetri. Vishak Nair impresses in his pookie villainous avatar, Cherian. Megastar Mammootty makes a cameo appearance as Walter. Vedhika Sreekumar plays Rosa, Vetri's child, who is now taken care of by Savio. Lakshmi Menon, Thesni Khan, Carmen S. Mathew, and Rafi are also part of the cast.
