Due to the capital's deteriorating Air Quality Index (AQI), which has surpassed the 300 mark, the production team for the upcoming film Cocktail 2—which stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna—is taking extensive precautions in preparation for a crucial shooting schedule in Delhi and Gurugram.

Shortened Delhi shooting schedule

Arrival in the capital is imminent for the actor, who has just finished filming in Europe. The production, which was originally expected to last a month, will actually be quite short and will concentrate on important outdoor shots in South Delhi and the nearby areas.

When HT City enquired about the schedule, a production insider clarified that it's not a month-long shoot here. From November 11 until the 20, they'll be filming in Delhi. The team has already selected specific locations for the shortened schedule.

Strict safety protocols for outdoor shoots

Filming at multiple outdoor locations requires the implementation of a strict safety protocol. The production is taking numerous precautions to ensure the safety of the crew and cast. According to the insider, "It's mostly an outdoor shoot." They also verified the locations and described the scenes. Chhatarpur, Gurugram, and other spots in South Delhi will all play host to the filming.

The crew has taken steps to address the poor air quality, including installing air purifiers in the dressing rooms and vanity trucks and requiring all crew members to wear masks while on set.

Mitigating air pollution with water sprinklers

Because of the inadequate air quality on set, the production is also actively trying to resolve the problem. The report says that water sprinklers will be used daily before and between shoots to ensure safety.

Director Homi Adajania, who oversaw the 2012 original, has already hinted at the coming of the principal cast, albeit they have not yet touched down. His mysterious 'Go Figure. #Cocktail2' post on his Instagram story, which he shared from an airline, definitely implies that he is already in the city getting ready for the shoot.
