Kingdom: Vijay Deverakonda takes a bold step with early screenings of his action drama

Vijay Deverakonda is ready with his new film Kingdom that will release in two parts. The first part is set for a July 31, 2025, release and has Bhagyashree Borse and Satyadev in key roles.

Kingdom is one of the most awaited films in recent times as it has Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. He has teamed up with Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame for the first time, and the action drama is all set to hit the screens on July 31, 2025. Kingdom has been in the making for the last two and a half years and has already been postponed twice.

Early screening buzz: Kingdom to air special shows ahead of release

Now that the makers have speeded up the promotions, all eyes are on the theatrical trailer, which will be out on July 26, 2025. On the other hand, we at OTTplay have come to know that the makers are planning to hold a special premiere a day in advance. This is a very bold move by the makers, as it shows how confident they are about the film’s output.

Vijay Deverakonda is going through a series of flops, as his last three films ended as disasters at the box office. So, he has pinned a lot of hopes on Kingdom and has worked hard on this action drama. Kingdom will be released in two parts, and the first part will showcase Vijay Deverakonda in the role of a police constable. Popular actor Satya Dev plays his brother, and the film is centered around the bonding between the two siblings.

We at OTTplay have already revealed that there is a reincarnation angle in Kingdom, which has been kept a secret. So far, only two promos from the film have been released, but none of them give a clear idea of what the film is truly about.

Anirudh has composed the music for the film, and the two songs released so far have become hits. Gautam Tinnanuri, known for emotional films like Jersey and Malli Raava, is expected to deliver a story rich in emotion once again.

Kingdom budget and OTT platform details

The makers have reportedly spent close to ₹130 crore, despite knowing that Vijay does not currently command that kind of market in the Telugu states. However, their belief in the director’s vision pushed them to go all out. Now that the film is ready, the decision to hold a special show ahead of its release has become a hot topic of discussion in film circles.
