Insights from director Aditya Dhar

Earlier, in an interview, Dhar revealed why he shelved his film based on mythology. The filmmaker stated that, at the moment, they are putting the film on hold. He admitted that their collective concept was way too ambitious for Indian cinema. No one has even tried to match the level of visual effects they saw there. They will have to wait until either the price of the technology drops or the number of movie theatres increases.

He used the example of James Cameron to show that even the American director waited for the market to expand. The market had to expand and technology had to advance before he could even consider presenting it, just like everyone else. Obviously, Dhar is not Cameron, but if they want to succeed, they can't settle for second-best. Simply put, he will not be able to present it. The film must be exceptional, regardless of the amount of time it takes, even if it's five years.
