D55: Sai Abhyankkar to score music for Dhanush-Rajkumar Periasamy film; says ‘a very special cooking’

D55: who is scoring the music?

It has been a whole since the makers of D55 announced the collaboration between actor Dhanush and director Rajkumar Periasamy. The film team on Thursday announced that Sai Abhyankkar is scoring music for the film. It marks the young composer’s first collaboration with Dhanush.

Sai Abhyankkar, who had scored for films like Dude and Balti, has a slew of films in the line up including LCU film Benz, Allu Arjun and Atlee film and Karuppu. With D55, Sai Abhyankkar has scored one another biggie.

With the release date yet to be set for D55, the project is expected to get bigger with the casting of Malayalam superstar Mammootty, who is reportedly set to join the shooting of D55 after he finishes Padayathra with Adoor Gopalakrishna.

It was recently revealed that D55’s streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. The film is expected to stream on the platform in multiple languages after its theatrical run.
