Bollywood's IT couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh embraced parenthood on September 8, 2024, as they welcomed their first child, a daughter. On the occasion of Diwali, the new parents revealed that they have named their daughter Dua Padukone Singh. They also shared a glimpse of the baby's tiny feet in the picture. On September 8, 2025, Dua turned 1, and her mommy made the day special as she baked a cake herself.

On September 10, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram account and shared a picture where she showed off a delicious-looking cake that she had made herself to celebrate the first birthday of her daughter Dua.

Sharing the picture, Padukone wrote, "My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday!" The chocolate cake has one candle on it, while the background of the picture is surrounded by flowers and other food.

On November 1, 2024, on the occasion of Diwali, Deepika and Ranveer shared the first picture of their baby daughter. The new parents also revealed her beautiful name: Dua Padukone Singh.

They captioned their collaborative post, “Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer”

Reacting to their post, Alia Bhatt dropped several red hearts. Karan Johar commented, "Such a gorgeous name." Ananya Panday, Vikrant Massey, and several other celebrities dropped red hearts in the comments section.

Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot in November 2018 at a private and intimate ceremony at Lake Como and shared some pictures with fans on Instagram. Five years later, on Koffee With Karan, they shared a glimpse of their wedding video, welcoming beautiful comments from fans.

On the professional front, Deepika was recently seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, Siddharth Anand's Fighter, and Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, all released in 2024.

The film is set in the 1970s and 1980s and is based on incredible true events involving India's Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). The film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and others. Dhurandhar will hit theaters on December 5, 2025.
