In the leaked scene from Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie Part 1, Akaza strikes Giyu Tomioka down. This leaves Tomioka bleeding from his forehead. The intense battle, nonetheless, continues.
There is a small glimpse of how Tanjiro is furious upon seeing how the fight unfolds. Although he would also join the fight eventually, the scene only features Akaza and Tomioka battle one another. This fight and its VFX is what has caught the internet's attention. This is mainly because the VFX is done using 2d models of the characters. Thus, the fight appears rather insane, making the wait for the movie's release in other countries that much worth it.
Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie Part 1 tickets were sold out within 10-15 minutes. The theatres are houseful for Akaza's Return, and Japan itself has turned into Demon Slayer land with the promotions for the movie. The film is only out in Japan currently. It scheduled to release in various countries across the globe on different days starting from August till the end of September. It will be out in India, US, UK and Canada on September 12, 2025.
For now, the makers have planned a theatrical release only for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. All the movies are expected to release by 2028. The initial reports suggest that the makers are unlikely to introduce Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle as a series for OTT. However, the plans could change at some point. Till then, the other seasons of Demon Slayer (Unwavering Resolve Arc, Mugen Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc as well as Hashira Training Arc) are now out on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. So, happy streaming!
