Directed by Ajay R Gnanamuthu, Demonte Colony 3 is the third film in his horror franchise. The latest glimpse from Demonte Colony 3 introduced the librarian as Guru Somasundaram, while also featuring some behind-the-scenes footage from the sets as the actor transformed and prepped for his role. Glimpses of his interactions with the director and some action sequences are also seen in the video.
The makers had on March 16 dropped an eerie teaser showing a book which brings death to its readers and a librarian who somehow finds the book and replaces it. The short glimpse had also teased that the librarian will arrive on March 17.
Guru Somasundaram’s recent releases are My Lord and Parasakthi. He played the antagonist Shibu in Tovino Thomas’ film Minnal Murali. His other notable films are Aaranya Kaandam and Joker.
Demonte Colony 3: The End is Too Far is slated to be a summer 2026 release. But the makers are yet to announce a release date for the horror thriller film with even the latest teaser not giving an update. Zee5 has bagged the digital rights of the movie, and will stream the horror thriller after it completes its theatrical run.
Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar reprise their roles in part 3, along with Muthukumar and Meenakshi Govindarajan. The film is a Sam CS musical.
The first Demonte Colony film was released more than a decade ago in 2015 and was a hit. Ajay Gnanamuthu returned with the sequel in 2024, which saw Arulnithi in dual roles.
