What is Derby all about?

The movie's cast and crew attended the launch event, where Pradeep Ranganathan said that Derby's youthful charm reminded him of his own path as a movie enthusiast. The movie, which combines romance, action, emotion, and fun, is set against a college setting, reflecting the pulse of the younger generation. Derby is expected to be shot and completed this year, with the makers confirming a release date by the mid of 2026. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed to premiere in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, apart from Malayalam.
