Devil clears censor; Kalyan thrilled with the output, says the period drama will be a visual treat

Kalyan Ram impressed one and all with Bimbisara. Now, he is ready with his new film, Devil, which is also a period drama. The latest update is that Devil has cleared censorship with an U/A certificate and is all set to be released on December 29, 2023.

Kalyan Ram is quite happy with the output and has said that the censor officials loved the film which has been in the making for the last two years. He also added that Devil will be a visual feast for the audience. Kalyan Ram plays a spy in the film, which has a British setting.

The recently released promo received applause from the audience. Once again, the popular hero will be seen in a role that will have slightly negative shades. Kalyan Ram's last film, Bimbisara, was a hit and came as a breather in his dull career, which did not have a single hit in the last three years.

However, his last film, Amigos, was a big flop; Kalyan Ram played a triple role in the film. The makers have spent a bomb on the sets of Devil and we at OTTplay have already reported that 80 sets were made for this film, with art director Gandhi as the man behind the sets. 

Samyuktha plays the female lead in this film. She has done three films: Bimbisara, Virupaksha, and Sir with Dhanush. All these films ended as big hits at the box office, making her the golden girl in Tollywood. So with Devil, she will once again be seen in a different role in the film.
