Dhaka International Film Festival: Sharmila Tagore meets Sheikh Hasina
The legendary actress, along with Mamata Shankar, Swastika Mukherjee, and director Sohini Ghosh, went to meet the Prime Minister.

The 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival started on January 20. The veteran actress Sharmila Tagore went there as the special guest of the event. She met the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday afternoon.

Sharmila went to Bangladesh on January 19. The legendary actress, along with Mamata Shankar, Swastika Mukherjee, and director Sohini Ghosh, went to meet the Prime Minister. The MP Shahriar Alam and the president of Rainbow Film Society Ahmed Mujtaba Jabal were also present there. Sharmila talked about the films of two countries with Sheikh Hasina. The festival will go on till January 28.

Sharmila is making a comeback to the Bengali film industry after 14 years. She stayed in Kolkata for several weeks to shoot for a Bengali film called Puratawn. The film, directed by Suman Ghosh, stars Indraneil Sengupta and Rituparna Sengupta, too.
