Dies Irae trailer is out! Pranav Mohanlal joined hands with Bramayugam director Rahul Sadasivan, who is spinning yet another horror tale. The makers have just released the trailer, giving us a horrifying glimpse of all the supernatural events set to unfold on screen. Dies Irae is set to release in theatres on October 31, 2025, to add to the spooky Halloween vibes.

The trailer of Dies Irae begins with a shot of a traditional Kerala home, with a specific focus on the jaded photo frames on the wall. An elderly woman asks her aide why he did not alert others when he felt something was wrong with that kid. “Maybe he would have escaped,” tells the character played by Manohari Joy, who shocked viewers as the cunning Ammachi of Sookshmadarshini.

The trailer then cuts to show Pranav Mohanlal. But the aide tells the woman that people would not have believed him. The woman tells him that his ‘thought’ turned out to be true, as we see Pranav’s character being pulled away by an unseen entity.

The 2-minute video also tells us that Dies Irae is based on some true events. We see more people talking about a ‘cursed family’ and the only son left to suffer. The tempo then rises as Pranav asks if anyone would believe him. Tension increases amid hurried frames as the title plays out on screen, one letter at a time. But in the final moments, Pranav’s avatar changes as he gives a cruel, intense stare, hinting that his character is evil or has been possessed by an evil spirit.

Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal's moody frames and composer Christo Xavier's ominous music add a chilling tone to the trailer. Shafique Mohammed Ali is the film's editor. Jothish Shankar is the production designer. Jibin Gopinath is also also part of the cast.

There are high expectations for the upcoming horror thriller film, as Rahul Sadasivan has delivered two haunting films, Bramayugam and Bhoothakaalam. And the latest trailer assures that Dies Irae: Day of Wrath would be a chilling addition to Rahul’s horror filmography.

Pranav Mohanlal last starred in Varshangalkku Shesham along with Dhyan Sreenivasan. Vineeth Sreenivasan had helmed the 2024 hit movie. Pranav also made a cameo appearance in Mohanlal-starrer Empuraan, helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
