After a gap of four years, Dileep is set to have multiple theatrical releases this year. He will kick off with director Raffi’s Voice of Sathyanathan, which also has Anupam Kher, Joju George and Veena Nandakumar as part of its cast. The film will join Kunchacko Boban's Padmini, Vineeth Sreenivasan's Kurukkan, Naslen's 18+ and Roshan Mathew and Soubin Shahir's Valatty as theatrical releases, in what promises to be an exciting July for Malayalam audiences.

The movie, which is a big budget film, is an entertainer that was shot in Kerala, Maharashtra and New Delhi. In an earlier interview with us, Raffi had said that though the movie is told through humour, it deals with a serious subject and has Dileep essaying the role of a furniture shop owner. Voice of Sathyanathan, which also has Jagapathi Babu in a pivotal role, is set to hit theatres on July 14.

The month, however, will start with Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam director Senna Hegde’s Padmini, which has Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Madonna Sebastian and Vincy Aloshius in the lead. Scripted by Kunjiramayanam writer Deepu Pradeep, the movie revolves around a college lecturer, who becomes the butt of all jokes after an embarrassing incident. The film is set to hit theatres on July 7.

Naslen and Mathew Thomas’ 18+, which is helmed by Jo and Jo director Arun D Jose, will also hit theatres on July 7. “The movie tells the issues faced by Gen Z and also sheds light on other bigger problems; it’s not a coming-of-age tale like Jo and Jo,” its director Arun had previously told OTTplay.

Another much-anticipated film to hit theatres next month is debutant Devan’s Valatty, which had real-life dogs in the lead. The canines in the movie are voiced by popular actors such as Soubin Shahir, Roshan Mathew, Aju Varghese, Sunny Wayne and Ranjini Haridas. The film is currently slated for release on July 14 along with Voice of Sathyanathan.

Veteran actor Sreenivasan will also make a comeback, after his ailments, with debutant Jayalal Divakaran’s Kurukan, which is a comedy entertainer starring Vineeth Sreenivasan and Shine Tom Chacko in the lead. The film is also expected to hit theatres in July, but the makers are yet to announce a release date.
