All expectations were on Dude, for Pradeep Ranganthan, the director-turned-actor, to create a hat-trick success after Love Today and Dragon. The film was released in theatres on October 17 and those who watched the first show poured in their reviews on social media platforms.

Dude features Mamitha Baiju of Premalu fame as the female lead, marking her first onscreen collaboration with Pradeep. While actors Rohini, Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon are also part of the film, Dude is helmed by debutant Keerthiswaran.

Many found Pradeep Ranganthan’s film interesting, thanks to his trademark eccentric performance, while there were a few who were not so much convinced. Dude is set to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. The film will debut sometime in November. With a young cast and crew, Dude has music by Sai Abhyankkar in his first Tamil film, while Niketh Bommi has cranked the camera. The film also stars Neha Sshetty in a small role.
